Dumb scripts for making projectiles hitscan (meaning they travel instantaneously).
(Requires Alephone v1.4)
Finally, the new gametype craze taking the metaserver by storm is released!
MUNITIONS DISPOSAL, the latest gametype out of Ray Laboratories, is as simple as it is fun: fire weapons to gain points. Gives a new meaning to "Never Stop Firing"!
Ray Laboratories does it again with this must-have update to the original smash hit!
This script uses the microphone button to jump. It will only allow you to jump while on the ground so you can't go flying across the map.
Be sure to this host with microphones off.
Version 1.1: Now makes a grunt sound when you jump and has cleaner beginning text (uses overlay instead of print).
Version 1.2: Now the microphone wont interfere with the sound. This should be the final version.
This is an attempt to mimic the gameplay of the old Joust arcade game. Players fly around maps and collide with each other to score kills. More detailed instructions await you in the README.
This is the fifth attempt at a total Joust rewrite. Compatible with the latest version of Aleph One. Can be played on the EMFH, KOTH, and KTMWTB gametypes.
Gather as a net script to fix Windbreaker's Imperium VII map.
If your favorite net maps are SPNKR Diarena, Marathon Rocket Arena, and RED, you will love this script. All weapons are changed into rocket launchers, and all ammo is changed into rockets.
Works both as a net script and a solo script.
Fixes ammo respawn problems, fixes starting weapons, requires Aleph One 0.23
Lua gametype where the faster you're moving when killing someone, the more points you are awarded.
For example, if you kill someone while standing completely still, you get one point. If kill someone while running, you get more points. If you kill someone while running and falling, you get significantly more points. If you launch yourself with a rocket and kill someone while flying through the air, you get even more points.
Two netscripts meant to be used with the King of the Hill gametype. They will cause the hill to move around periodically. The compass points to the hill, and the lighting on the floor of the hill will flash.
Jumping Hills will work with any map enabled for KOTH, while Base Jumping Hills requires maps set up in a specific way. The readme has more details.
NOW UPDATED FOR ULTRAWIDE!
Experience the authentic 1994 jank of Marathon 1's classic HUD as if it were made for your monitor!
This plugin takes the classic HUD and extends it to fill modern 16:9 and Ultrawide displays.
The same plugin covers both 16:9 and 21:9 monitors. It automatically adapts to your chosen resolution.
With the extra space, additional inventory pages are displayed. In Solo games, weapons and ammo are displayed. In Netgames, the scoreboard is always displayed.
Based on the Classic M1 HUD plugin posted here by Hopper.
Wide Marathon 2 & Marathon Infinity HUD here.
2.19 - Ultrawide support
1.1 - Extra Inventory Page
1.0 - Initial release
Have you ever wanted to rend apart monsters, friends, or just your own good self with the endless amounts of energy trapped between the boundaries of space and time? Now you CAN!
Simply place and configure a platform with some simple parameters, and our magic gimmick script takes care of the rest!
Highly adaptable! Hilarious fun for all ages!
Try it today and go nowhere fast!
Cleaned up and more or less good to go!
Fixed trap contact/proximity detection, optimized monster checking
Cleaned up script in general
In this script, the scoring method is changed so that every time you deal damage, you gain points. Kills and deaths do not award points. Watch out and don't damage yourself because it will take away points and suicides usually hurt more than help you.
Just select it when hosting and set netscript as your gametype.
A zip file version of the old 3D Examples from the early days of Aleph One. Includes a plugin containing 3D models of columns and lights, and two maps for trying it out. Files originally created by "binhqx", and still available in .sit form here
Checkpoints is an implementation of Halo-style automatic saved games in the middle of a level. Mapmakers use annotations to mark where checkpoints should occur, and the Lua script does the rest. It also creates a save point after each level transition.
Includes a sample map. Find all seven checkpoints!
lua script based on a quake mod named Rocket Arena where you get all weapons and ammo but no map items
The whole idea of this script is Surivive Longer = Less Ammo = Killing Gets Harder
Also Included: Rocket Arena where you only have rockets so that you can make someone pay
Note: This script has a side effect of being invulnerable to monster attacks
Reworked self-damage conditions to give damage when the damage is environment-related
A small collection of Lua experiments you probably shouldn't host.
2 small bug fixes.
New Scripts:
Spawn_Kamping.lua - Players respawn with 3x health and a rocket launcher. Kill them within 10 seconds to score bonus points. Each second after they spawn players lose 10% of their extra health and are worth one less point. Who should you target? You'll know by the color of their shirts.
Homing_Rockets.lua - Now it's even easier to home in on your enimies. Just aim in their general direction and wait for the sound that tells you it's time to fire. But be careful. It's hard to maintain a lock at a large distance and if you hear the juggernaut then find something to hide behind.
Changes:
Fly-by-wire rockets can now be disabled by individuals.
Quantum Loched King of the Hill displays carnage report as time.
Soar on the wings of a bowl of spoiled pudding!
Ride on a tick, and fight from the sky!
Jump from tick to tick, or abuse the improbable physics of whatever a tick is made of to boost yourself over long distances! Blast the tick out from under your foes! Ride on the wrong tick and explode!
The possibilities are endless!
This fun and mildly-insane netscript is best suited to larger maps with open spaces. And it's even better with lava. Try it and you'll soon understand why!
Highly configurable, with various weird secrets and bizarre instances of what may possibly pass for humor. Try adding your own nonsense – Amuse, bemuse, or disgust your friends!
This package includes one shoddy, simplistic, yet lovable and purpose-made netmap, Tick Stew, that will allow you to explore the possibilities in various networked gametypes or just by yourself in a solo game.
Take to the un-friendly skies and become a Tick Rider today!
Position ticks out of impassable polygons.
Deal with some Lua errors caused by exceeding monster limits with too many ticks.
Added super-informative read-me documentation.
Added special Tick-Netmap "Cavendish Tick Catastrophe"
Play the Survival solo gameplay mode from Durandal XBLA. Rack up carnage points as you face off against hordes of increasingly difficult enemies.
Play on the four Survival maps built by Freeverse for the port. Or use the plugin, pick any netmap, and try not to die.
For a similar co-op experience, see Survival.lua.
Version 2.1 fixes a bug which caused films to go out-of-sync.
In this new scenario shell from NEFX, solve platform puzzles to reach the Shells of Ascension and escape.
The scenario shell is completed, with one level so far. I intend to release more levels in the future to be played in any order wished.
Team play made easy ! This simple lua script adds a lot of options and parameters to tune your team netplay experience. It was originaly design to help people playing team deathmatch (or any other team game) by showing the teams colors on players in a more obvious way. It's now stuffed with other options !
Code clean up. The color change is now optional and can be turned off by configuration edit. Added friendly fire management.
